Artificial insemination can be performed using fresh semen, chilled (shipped) semen, or frozen semen. Success depends on good timing of ovulation, good semen quality and good bitch health. We prefer to use Trans-Cervical Insemination (TCI) as it ensures semen is placed as close as possible to the site of fertilisation and provides the best opportunity for pregnancy and a good litter size.
